Distribution of the Kitchen God New Year Prints for the 2026 Bingwu Year

【Announcement | Free Distribution of the Kitchen God New Year Prints for the 2026 Bingwu Year】

To welcome the 2026 Bingwu Year, and to promote traditional Chinese religious culture as well as the values of honoring the Kitchen God, cultivating virtue, and accumulating blessings,
the Yangzhu Taoist Association of America is pleased to announce the following event:

“2026 Bingwu Year · Free Distribution of Kitchen God New Year Prints”

The Kitchen God, formally known as
“Jiutian Dongchu Siming Zaojun” (The Lord of the Eastern Kitchen Who Oversees Destiny),
is an immortal appointed by the Jade Emperor. He presides over household hearths, oversees daily family life and sustenance, and records the merits and deeds of each household throughout the year.

According to tradition, the Kitchen God ascends to Heaven on the 23rd night of the twelfth lunar month to report the deeds of each family to the Jade Emperor, and returns to the human world on New Year’s Eve, continuing to bless households with peace, nourishment, and harmony.

As the year comes to an end and a new year approaches, the Association has specially prepared two Kitchen God New Year prints, which will be distributed free of charge to the public as a cultural and spiritual offering:
• One print for the current year, intended for this year’s Kitchen God offering ritual
• One print for the upcoming 2026 Bingwu Year, intended for welcoming the Kitchen God and the New Year

This gesture represents respect for the Kitchen God, gratitude for past blessings, and prayers for peace, abundance, and good fortune in the year ahead.

The new-year print may be placed in the kitchen on New Year’s Eve, symbolizing protection of the household and harmony within the family.
The Association will also provide the current-year Kitchen God print for use in this year’s traditional offering ritual.

【How to Receive】

• Advance registration is required
• Each person may receive two prints (one for the current year, one for 2026)
• Quantities are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis

Local pickup is free of charge.
For those requesting mail delivery, the prints are offered free of charge; however, recipients are responsible for the shipping cost.
